Blue Ribbon Committee Info:

The Blue Ribbon Committee is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, March 27 at

7:00 p.m. at the JC Ag Ctr. There are 37 members with the town of Micro

as yet to appoint two members.

Manger Hester will convene the meeting and issue the charge from the

county commissioners as to the committee's mission, review logistical

matters and the group will then proceed to elect a chair and vice chair.

The Home Builders are approaching the coming meetings with totally open

minds and are proceeding with the intent to answer the charge of the

county commissioners as expressed by Commissioner Stewart in his motion

to create this committee. His charge was to answer three questions

concerning growth; pace, location and quality of development. The Home

Builders believe these and other questions can be answered by the county

completing and adopting a Comprehensive Land Use Plan.

It is anticipated there will be people on this committee with closed

minds and their own agendas. The Home Builders are delighted to have the

opportunity to have all the stakeholders at the table and look forward

to hearing the truth concerning growth in Johnston County.

The Hope Ride is an eagerly anticipated event to raise money for the

House of Hope in Clayton. If you are interested in riding or

the House of Hope!!!
